The 70th Annual Golden Globes, hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, aired last night and brought with it surprises, tears, and lots of laughter.
Amy and Tina were, as usual, hilarious and made the show feel like a drunken good time with mischevious friends. Jodie Foster made us tear up and watch in awe as she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille award.
Meanwhile, we were completely surprised when former president Bill Clinton took the stage to present Lincoln as a nominee.
As far as the core of the show went, Ben Affleck was the star of the night, winning both for Best Director, and Best Motion Picture, Drama for his film Argo. Films Les Misérables and Django Unchained also picked up multiple awards- Django Unchained won the award for Best Screenplay, and actor Christopher Waltz walked away with the award for Best Supporting Actor. Anne Hathaway sang her way to the Best Supporting Actress award for Les Misérables and co-star Hugh Jackman took home the award for Best Actor, Comedy or Musical.
